About me
Hello! I'm an associate professor and PhD advisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University's School of Media and Communication. My academic journey has been a bit of a grand tour, taking me from Nanjing University (BA & MA) to The Chinese University of Hong Kong for my PhD, with a fascinating stopover at Yale University as a visiting scholar.
So, what do I actually do? I spend my days exploring the wild, wonderful world of digital culture and figuring out how we can have better, more meaningful conversations about mental health. I've put these thoughts into words in over 30 academic articles and a few books. Happily, some of this work has been recognized with awards like the Fang Hanqi Award and a spot as a "Top 1% Highly Cited Scholar" on CNKI.
